HOTEL
MANAGER
You must have
several years of experience as Hotel Manager (cruise experience
would be an advantage), be passionate about your
profession, always place the guest as your first
priority, and know how to convey that philosophy to the team under
you. Fluency in the German language both writen and spoken is
a must whilst for those vessels carrying passengers from the USA
& Australia , an excellent knowledge of English is also
needed.Knowledge of any other languages will be considered as an
advantage. As the leader of the ship’s non-operational
crew you will be expected to be a skilled team leader
and be able to motivate people to perform at their
best, setting your own performance as their
example. Excellent administration and logistics skills as well
as having a flair for organisation are equality
essential. Finally you must have the ability to easily communicate
with the guests building a positve customer services atmosphere on
board your vessel.
CRUISE
DIRECTOR
You must have
several years experience in this role or any other Public Relation
Position (cruise experience would be an advantage). A positive
and outgoing personality, an ability to communicate clearly, and a
very good knowledge both of German and English are musts for this
position. Any additional language would be an
advantage. You will be tasked with backing up the Hotel
Manager in various administrative tasks, ensuring that cruises run
smoothly in accordance to the agreed program. You and you team will
have the responsibility of organized the daily entertainment
program, and provide informative briefing to the passengers
referrign to the various landmarks and points of interest whilst
cruising being the source of information where guests turn first
when they have questions, problems or wishes. So you have to
be constantly ready to guarantee that communications between your
department and other departments always work
perfectly.
HEAD
CHEF
You must have
several years experience as chef/head chef (cruise experience would
be an advantage). A very good knowledge of German is necessary
(and of English on ships carrying passengers from the USA &
Australia). Excellent organization and production skills are a
must as well being in a position to manage your kitchen team
so as to ensure high effeciency and productivity as well as
excellent quality of the delivered products. Excellent knowledge
of international gastronomy and current food trends is
essential in order to be able to design and implemet high
quality a menu cycles for each cruise depending on the specifics
agreed with the cruise organizers always ensuring that cost is kept
within the agreed budgets. Effective stock control management and
precise ordering of the required materials are also
essential. Excellent knowledge and implemetation of HACCP
procedures are also required for the kitchen operations as well as
the ability to train kitchen personel of the implemetation of such
procedures.
CHEF
You must have formal training as
a chef and have already worked in similar positions for several
years. A very good knowledge of German is necessary (and of
English on ships carrying passengers from the USA &
Australia). You must be experienced at producing specified
dishes that are masterly and match up exactly with the head chef’s
ideas. You must be resilient, a team player, and
appreciate being solely responsible for your various functions (in
charge of the larder, desserts, sauces, and patisserie). It is
up to you to delight our guests with fresh, creative and also
regional cuisine.
MAITRE
D’HOTEL
You must have
several years of experience as a Restaurant Manager (cruise
experience would be an advantage). A very good knowledge of German
is necessary (and of English on ships carrying passengers from the
USA). We seek an extrovert, who can play to perfection the
part of dealing stylishly with all our guests in the restaurant.
This includes motivating and training an international service team
of which you are always, visibly, the leader. In addition to
knowledge of 5-star service standards you will have a talent for
organisation and sales, and will bring your creativity and
initiative to the various on-board events. You will maintain
hygiene standards and ensure that the ambience is always clean and
attractive.
COOK
You must have

produce under the guidance of the the Head Chef international and
specified dishes always at the level of quality of the given

WAITER
You must have
extensive knowledge of the service sector with several several
years of service in similar positions. A very good knowledge

advantage. Youmust be a team player and like to take
responsibility; you must enjoy providing your guests with a careful
and attentive service. You must demonstrate a focused approach
towads the work assigned to you and have the ability to
radiate friendliness at all times.
HAIRDRESSER/SHOP
MANAGERESS
We seek a person
with a high degree of flexibility and commitment. You must have
successfully completed your training as hairdresser,speak German,
English and/or French, and have the right personality to provide
your services with charm. In addition to deploying your
fashion-related personal service skills you will also be employed
in our on-board shop. For this we need a good communicator with a
responsible manner and a commercial touch, who also enjoys dealing
directly with guests. Quite often you will also help out at
Reception, for instance when the guests are
arriving.
CABIN
STEWARDESS
A
completed apprenticeship is required as well as working experience
as Stewardess (house maid ) in a fast pace 4 to 5 star Hotel
accommodating an international clientele. Alternatively, equivalent
European Qualification in Housekeeping is an advantage. Must
have working experience with an extensive cleaning program and good
knowledge of English and / or German. Ship's experience would be a
plus but not a condition. Candidates must have an outgoing,
friendly and courteous personality as well as a well-groomed
appearance. Must be flexible and stress-resistant and have the
ability to work in a team that is focused on exceeding guest
expectations. Good knowledge of hygiene is a
must.
LAUNDRY
STEWARDESS
You must have a strong sense of
order and cleanliness. The main task is to ensure cleanliness and
order throughout the ship, while respecting the privacy of the
guests. As laundry stewardess you will be responsible
for washing and ironing the entire hotel, restaurant and guest
laundry as well as crew uniforms. You also help with the cleaning
of the cabins and public areas. Communication skills in English are
necessary in order to understand the wishes of guests, and
instructions from your supervisor. Must be flexible and
stress-resistant and ability to work in a team that is focused on
exceeding guest expectations. Good knowledge of hygiene is a
must.
RECEPTIONIST
As part of the hospitality team
you should be prepared for every eventuality: as a receptionist on
board ship, you will be both hostess and the first
contact partner for our guests. Hence, you must always have an
overview, remain calm and sovereign at all times and be able to
deal with guests brilliantly. You must also be
supportive to the Hotel Manager in the accurate billing of
passengers and the accounting tasks required by the company
expected to handle with accurancy payment transactions and prepare
relevant reports. Professional training in hotel management or
customer services management is essential for this position .
Professional experience in reception or experience aboard a ship is
a distinct advantage for this position. You must be at least 21
years old, speak German perfectly and have a business fluent
command of the English language. French constitutes an
advantage.Finally you must be able to built positive raport with
passenger and provide them with information regarding the services
offered on board and during the cruise in general.
NIGHT-RECEPTIONIST
In this position you have to watch
for the safety and security of the ship, the passengers and crew
during your night shift as instructed with hourly rounds on the
ship. Friendly, efficient and smooth running front desk to the
maximum passenger satisfaction, as well as the correct completion
of all administrative duties during the night with adherence to the
company standards. Professional experience in reception or
experience aboard a ship is a distinct advantage for this position.
You are at least 21 years old, speak German perfectly and have a
business fluent command of the English language. French constitutes
an advantage.
BARKEEPER
Entertainer and
all-rounder: In the bar of a ship your multiple talents are
important for a successful operation. As a bartender you are
responsible to the entire beverage service on board. You make
recommendations and prepare exotic cocktails to fulfill
expectations of the guest. At the same time you are leader of the
Bar team and responsible for the complete bar inventory. Your
friendly manners and your reliable operation make the difference
for the success of the bar service on board. You are at least 23
years old and your completed vocational training strengthens your
skills as a bartender. Based on your experience, you have a good
cocktail repertoire ranging from classical to trendy. Your good to
very good English and German language skills are just as strong as
your flexibility and your sales skills.
MUSICAL ENTERTAINER
(SINGLE OR DUO BAND)
You should perform
a variety of musical styles, being highly interactive with a wide
range of guest demographics, and emphasis on popular music from the
1950s to present. You posses also the ability to perform as a
cocktail piano player, a variety of musical styles during tea-time,
in the afternoon, and ascertain the musical tastes of the
passengers. Requirements during the musical entertainment in the
evening include proficiency as an instrumentalist and vocalist with
a large repertoire of music from which to draw (most should be from
memory) and the ability to cater to a diverse range of guests from
different countries (USA, Germany, France etc.) with varied musical
taste. You should be able to develop a rapport and interact with
the cruise director during his activities in the bar to provide an
enjoyable entertainment experience.
